This empty bag would look a lot better with some shirts in it.

Re-Spun FAQ

Everything you need to know about our Re-Spun Take Back Bag.

I've already donated. Can I donate again?

You betcha (and you'll get a $40 Reward again). You can order up to 3 Re-Spun Take Back Bags per order and a total of 6 Re-Spun Take Back Bags per calendar year, resetting in January.

What kind of items will you accept?

We'll take pretty much any clothing or fabric item. Think old shirts, jeans, mismatched socks, shoes, bags, towels, curtains, you name it! Just don’t throw any trash in there (pretty please).

Can I drop the Re-Spun Take Back Bag off in-store?

Yup, we'll take it. Bring your Re-Spun Take Back Bag in and get your $40 Reward right there. Nothing better than instant gratification.

What happens to the stuff you can't recycle?

Our recycling partners make sure even the scraps we can’t use find a new life — whether it’s as housing insulation, fishing nets, or whatever else.

Can I return my Re-Spun Take Back Bag?

While you can send your kit back to us, your $40 ML Reward will be available for exchange, not cash.

Are all Re-Spun products made from our old clothes?

We still use your old clothes, but some products require more technical recycled materials than recycled cotton. So, we've started sourcing more recycled materials from other organizations. Anything with the Re-Spun stamp means it's made with 30% or more recycled materials. Heyo!

How long will you be collecting Re-Spun Take Back Bags?

Forever. (Or at least until we go out of business.) Re-Spun is a core part of what we do — and recycling clothes is just a small part of our growing sustainability efforts. Wanna learn more? Check out our Impact Report.

What if my company has a ton of clothes to recycle?

If you’re an organization and have hundreds to thousands of clothing items, we may be able to work together on a recycling partnership. Reach out to custom.orders@marinelayer.com for the deets.
